Gratitude During Hard Times

When life gets hard, the last thing on our minds is gratitude. Sometimes, it can feel like everything is conspiring to come together to make your life as miserable as possible. When you’re feeling down on your luck, it can be easy to focus only on the negatives.

Once you are over the wallowing-in-sadness phase (which we all go through, right??), there’s one small thing you can do that can help you feel better. Every day, write down three things in your life that you are grateful for. It helps to do this at the beginning of the day before you have to face head-on everything else going on in your life. This could be something as simple as having a roof over your head, a pet that loves you, or access to a nearby park.
