Valentine’s Day for Singles

For the past how many years have you been with a partner on Valentine’s Day? This year is bound to feel different as a newly single bachelor/ette, and that’s okay. While different may seem scary it can also be pretty awesome. So let’s put the divorce behind you (at least for today) and celebrate some self-love! Here’s a list of 10 activities that don’t involve a partner or watching other couples eat dinner!

  1. Sit down with your friends Ben and Jerry. A bowl of ice cream always seems to lift the mood (or be a celebratory thing!).

  2. Pop that cork! Enjoy a wine tasting with some friends.  Some wineries are offering virtual tasting events these days!

  3. Soak up some suds with a warm bubble bath or extra long hot shower… you can worry about the water bill later :D

  4. Snuggle with your pet.

  5. Netflix and Chill with #1… who says a good binge session isn’t good for the soul

  6. Prep and cook your favorite meal. Cooking is a great way to focus your energy on

something else (measure twice, pour once LOL)

7. Order your favorite takeout dinner and enjoy it all to yourself- Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about sharing the love; it can be about (self) centering the love!

8. Book yourself an evening at the spa. Mani? Pedi? Massage?

9. Host a dinner party with other single friends… no couples allowed!

10. Attend a Paints and Pints night and get your creativity on.

Whatever you end up doing, make sure you do it with love, for yourself. If you take one of these ideas, great! If you come up with another activity let me know in the comments.
