I usually have multiple books going at one time. I try to always read something that is directly related to the practice or business of law, or to being an entrepreneur in general, and a mindless book that’s purely for entertainment purposes. Here’s what’s on my nightstand right now:

Verity by Colleen Hoover

I’m flying through this book and read half of it at one sitting. It’s a creepy, unsettling romantic thriller and I’m all for it!

The Small Firm Roadmap: A Survival Guide to the Future of Your Law Practice by Aaron Street et al

This is about gaining clarity in a solo law practice career, focusing heavily on value and client engagement. It’s super important to always be forward-thinking because I intend on creating a legacy with Egan Law Center; I'm in it for the long haul and want to constantly evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of my clients.

Chillpreneur: The New Rules for Creating Success, Freedom, and Abundance on Your Terms by Denise Duffield-Thomas

This book is by an awesome money mindset coach and helps you discover and implement a business model that works for your individual personality.
